I am a fully qualified DVSA approved driving instructor. Started instructing in the Royal Navy with New Recruits in 1990 and found that passing on information was just as exciting as learning new knowledge. There is that buzz you get when the pupil has grasped the concept and without realising it they are doing it for themselves.

Being Ex-Military my method is a block by block approach where each lesson is built on the last.
So from the very first lesson, the GOOD habit is ingrained in the brain and as driving conditions can change in a second, plan B can be worked on to develop GOOD defensive driving. To see how other drivers can get it wrong and come up with a way of not doing as they do, but do what YOU have to do is essential.

Have lived in the Portsmouth area all my life, but now reside in Waterlooville. I enjoy reading, local history and tracing my Family Tree. Still dream I can play rugby instead of watching it. I’m married with two children and four grandchildren, at the last count.
