Not Your Normal Driving School

We pride ourselves on being not only professional but also friendly and approachable.  We know how important it is to have an approachable instructor and we also want your memories of learning to drive to be fond ones!  We use both fully qualified and trainee instructors, the trainee instructors MUST meet our standards, as experience counts for a lot in this profession. Our trainee instructors are monitored during some lessons, so some lessons you may get the benefit of 2 instructors for the price of one!  All instructors proudly display a green badge if they are qualified in the windscreen, whilst trainees display a pink licence.  Just to put your mind at rest – to be a trainee instructor – you will have proven your knowledge of the Highway Code by undertaking a DVSA Theory Test, they will have passed a Driving Test with less than 6 Driver Faults and under taken 40 hours (minimum) of instructor training.  As we said, on top of that they will be monitored on some lessons until they pass their test – after that – we are still here for support at all times.  That’s why we’ve got our blog – the hub of the 1st Castle community!
