The 2 Second Rule

The 2 Second Rule – and how it works –

Minimum gap between you and the vehicle in front = 2 seconds with good tyres, good dry road condition/. When the conditions become wet – we need to double that distance to 4 seconds (as a minimum) and with Snow or Ice – that initial gap needs to be X10! making it 20 seconds gap – as a minimum!
