Hi, I’m a DVSA qualified driving instructor, qualifying in 2009. I now help Steve Morley run the business, answering the phones, allocating instructors to pupils when they have a space, so if you need any help, please do not hesitate to give me a call.

I cover mainly the Bognor Regis area, including the small villages around.  I started car instruction in 2009 and joined 1st Castle in April 2019 but prior to this I worked for many years as an instructor for another company and also enjoying being a 4×4 instructor at various venues and companies, working under a BORDA qualification (British Off Road Driving Association).  Enjoying several years at various Under 17 driving academies but now concentrating more towards on road instructing including PDI’s (Trainee Driving Instructors).  Having grown up round a fleet environment and qualified as a Fleet Instructor, also conducting Taxi Tests for Arun and Chichester District Councils.

Prior to becoming a car instructor, I spent many years as a Motorcycle Instructor, starting in 1983 including being a DSA (as it was then, in the 1990’s) CBT Instructor from the early 1990’s.  I’m qualified as a DIAmond Advanced Motorcycle Examiner, and can offer Advanced Bike instruction covering assessment rides to full or half day training. Prior to all this – I’ve spent many years off road on motorcycles and trained as a qualified Mechanic – working on anything from a moped to very large Liebherr Cranes to Plant vehicles.  Including obtaining my HGV licence in 1992 (or C&E as it is now).

I thoroughly enjoy all aspects of the role as a driving instructor, seeing your confidence and abilities improve as the lessons progress all the way to the driving test and beyond.  I’ve also enjoyed helping several people with special needs over the years.

My current statistics for Driving Tests are: Jan 2023 > Dec 2023 – Attended 44 Driving Tests – 39 Passes (88.6% pass rate), Average Faults 1.7 faults per test. (of the 39 passes – 6 had ZERO minor faults). ** Correct 01/01/2024.
