Hi, I’m a DVSA fully qualified driving instructor qualifying in 2018. I cover mainly Chichester and the surrounding areas.

My background includes studying at Chichester College where I graduated in business IT. I then pursued a career as a chef working in pressured and stressful environments; I learnt quickly that we tend to perform better when we are less stressed so this is the environment that I look for you in the car, typically a relaxed, calm and positive one. I was also a Special Constable for Sussex police; in my time there I attended various jobs including road traffic accidents. I witnessed first-hand the dangers of not applying good driving techniques and general attitude to driving. Also, the impact and consequences it may have on the driver as a whole. This is what spurs me on as a driving instructor.

I want to ensure that my pupils have the necessary skills and attitude to become a confident, competent and responsible driver. I am very patient and understanding and will often listen to help the pupil analyse fault’s that may occur during lessons. I also believe making lessons enjoyable really promotes learning and I hope every pupil leaves the end of lesson thinking positively, with the view of always looking forward to the next one. Not only do I help pupils pass their practical test with confidence but I also offer 1 to 1 theory lessons for any pupil that struggles theoretically.

What makes this job so rewarding is watching the pupil grow in confidence lesson by lesson and the big smile on their faces when they are holding that pass certificate. Also, to be able to change pupil’s lives and give that pupil independence and a new found freedom is an amazing feeling, not forgetting, the job opportunities that comes with having a full license.
