Dave is a fully qualified DVSA approved driving instructor having qualified in 2002. He covers an area from Littlehampton to Chichester.
Dave came into the industry having been an operational fire fighter for 21 years; and afterwards a taxi driver. Therefore, driving has always been a large part of his life in one way or another. Whilst in the Fire Service Dave was also a qualified HGV driver.
“I decided to become a driving instructor as I was bored with the taxi trade; and wanted a more challenging and motivated job.
I have always been involved in sport, both playing and later in life coaching in various sports.
Teaching people to drive is a continuation of my coaching skills as I try to pass on my knowledge and experience that I gained in the Fire Service and the taxi trade.
Like most instructors; I get my enjoyment out of seeing the smiles on the faces of the pupils as they come to end of their journey and pass their test. This gives me a real sense of achievement.
My teaching style is keep it simple, have a laugh and get the pupils to relax”
